Austin Beer News: Waller Creek Pub House Gears Up For Grand Opening
If you’re the type of person who keeps their ear to the ground for all the new beer spots in Austin, then you’ve probably already spent some time at Waller Creek Pub House.
While the craft beer focused Sixth St. bar overlooking Waller Creek has been “soft open” for a few months now, they are finally, officially ready to pull out the “Grand Opening” banner.
Waller Creek features 30 rotating taps, along with a full bar and a menu colored by solid pub grub like sandwiches, burgers and an array of fancy fries (we’ll personally vouch for the sriracha and hoisin topped Asian Fries). With its natural wood interior, and cozy, umbrella topped patio, it joins across-the-street neighbors Easy Tiger in classing up Dirty Sixth.
The grand opening party is scheduled for Saturday, August 8 from noon-8pm and will feature numerous special tappings, food specials, a DJ, games and more.
If you want to get a sneak peak at how Waller Creek throws a shindig, also check out the bar’s Beer Rep Happy Hour, a new monthly tradition beginning on July 28. Expect to find all of your favorite local beer reps under one roof to answer your burning questions, share a pint and engage in some general tomfoolery.
