Texas Craft Brewers Fest Returns to Austin’s Fiesta Gardens
With the fall (beer) festival season nearly upon us, Austin will be welcoming the return of the Texas Craft Brewers Festival Saturday, Oct. 6.
The festival stands out from many other central Texas beer fests held in recent years. Now, that’s not just because it occurs in a month where it’s actually cool enough to function outdoors, or because they have tipsy armadillos in their logo (though both are definitely selling points), but because, as the name suggests, it hosts exclusively Texas-based craft breweries….represent y’all.
This year, the event will once again be held at Fiesta Gardens in east Austin. In addition to the oodles of beer for the consumin’, there will also be food trucks, beer education sessions, food and beer pairings and live music.
The updated list of participating brewers includes:
Adelbert’s Brewery
Alamo Beer
Austin Beerworks
Circle Brewing
Deep Ellum Brewing
Guadalupe Brewing
Hops & Grain Brewing
Independence Brewing
Jester King Craft Brewery
Lakewood Brewing
Live Oak Brewing
New Republic Brewing
No Label Brewing
Pedernales Brewing
Talk about a stellar showing from nearly all of Texas’ most celebrated production microbreweries.
Here’s the scoop on tickets, sample sizes, etc.:
General admission tickets are $20 and include six 4oz sampling tokens and a commemorative tasting glass.
VIP tickets, which are going for $65, include six 4oz sampling tokens, commemorative tasting glass, festival t-shirt, early entry for a two hour meet and great session with the brewers, and a souvenir pint glass upon exiting the festival.
There are also $10 designated driver tickets available, and some ticketing options that include entry to the festival and “Guild Enthusiast” level membership to the Texas Craft Brewers Guild.
Extra tasting tokens can be purchased at $3 for a pair. Each beer will range from 1-2 tokens depending on how generally badass it is (our words, not theirs).
Festival ticketholders can also purchase additional tickets for these awesome sounding festival panels: “Texas Craft Beer Explosion,” “Beer & Cheese,” “Beer & Food” and “Beer & Chocolate” which feature a variety of special guests from the Austin brewing and culinary communities. (Please note, you have to purchase a ticket to the Texas Craft Brewers Festival in order to purchase tickets to these bonus panels.)
See you there?
