Hops for Hope Art Show to Feature 25 Artists, 25 Craft Beers
Any event involving A.) Great Beer and B.) A Great Cause pretty much sells itself.
Hops for Hope, a beer and art themed benefit for the Hope Campaign occurring this Sunday, Nov. 24 at Vuka Co-op, is no exception.
The art show and fundraiser, which will feature 25 artists and 25 craft beers, promises to combine “art, design and culture with the beauty of beer.”
100 percent of the proceeds from the event will go to benefit HOPE, which stands for Helping Other People Everywhere, and encompasses the HOPE Outdoor Gallery, the HOPE Farmers Market and the HOPE Music Sponsorship Fund.
Participating breweries include Stone, Hops & Grain, Lagunitas, Live Oak, Deschutes, Firestone Walker, Adelbert’s, Independence, Brooklyn Brewery, Austin Beerworks, Rogness, Dogfish Head and South Austin Brewing Co.
Artists featured at the event include: Lucas Aoki, Lindsay Braun, Billy Jewkes “BRIKS, Angelique Chandy, CollabNart, Aaron Darling “ACSO”, Jason Eatherly, Efren “ER,” Asher Freehan, Daniel Grant, Emily Galusha, Brendan “GENT,” Adreon Denson Henry, Tres Hoyt, Mike D. Johnston “TRUTH,” Roshi K., Dave Lowell, Molly Maroney “SIS,” Jay Morgan “BLVD,” Heath “MOUF,” Anna Pederson, Zuzu Kelly Perkal “ZUZU,” Brandon Snow, William K. Stidham, Wade Tompson and Mark Yawn.
The music lineup will feature The Chorderoys, T-Bird & the Breaks and DJ ORION with surprise Peligrosa guests. There will also be live screenprinting and food trucks on site–Tapas Bravas, The Seedling Truck and La Condesa, to be exact.
While the event is free and open to the public, a $10 donation will get attendees a HOPE mason jar & koozie, artist sticker pack and two raffle tickets to be entered into a drawing for two SXSW Wristbands.
While this event is occurring in the 78704 rather than the East Side (due to some last minute venue issues) it does happen to coincide with the last night of the East Austin Studio Tour. Naturally, this could make the perfect nightcap.
