If the idea of pairing old school tunes with decadent, inventive brews is music to your ears, look no further for your evening entertainment tonight than East Sixth St.’s Hi Hat Public House.
The bar will be kicking off their monthly Old 45s series at 8pm. It’s a collaborative event which brings together vintage Dogfish Head brews with all vinyl 45prm records spun by DJ GrossYall.
Going all in for the inaugural event, Dogfish Head Rep Nick Lensing will be bringing out a special, old school keg of 2011 Bitches Brew.
Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA will also be available, randalled through fresh Texas peaches.
DJ GrossYall, though an Austin resident, is certainly no stranger to Dogfish Head, having served as Record Selector for the annual Analog-A-Go-Go event hosted at the Delaware brewery since 2012.
According to a press release for Old 45’s, expect “psychedelic, garage, indie, funk-pop, twee, soul, Kinks-core (huh?), and all sorts of other subgenres of plain and simple good beer drinking music.”
In line with the vinyl theme, the Hi Hat kitchen will be popping out special 7 inch pizzas (with both meaty and veggie options) just for the occasion.
The event runs from 8 to 11pm.
