Seattle Beer Week: Days 6-11
Week 1 is down and nobody’s been arrested or had an embarrassing photo posted to the internet! I call that a win. Now that we’ve moved into Seattle Beer Week’s 2nd week, here is our list of featured events for days 6-11.
Tuesday May 13th
Canned Beer Skee Ball Tourney | 7:00PM – 11:00PM | King’s Hardware
Imagine Skee Ball. Most likely you’re thinking of a bunch of screaming kids crowding you while you’re trying to get your Skee on. Now imagine Skee Ball using beers from 21st Amendment, Two Beers, Fremont, Hilliard’s, 7 Seas, and Oskar Blue’s. That’s exactly what King’s Hardware will be presenting. They’ll be having $5 cheeseburgers and can a craft beer as well as the skee ball tournamnet and giveaways.
Orcas Meet the Brewer | 7:00PM – 10:00PM | Beveridge Place Pub
Orcas Distribution is hosting a meet the brewers night featuring Almanac, Black Diamond, Epic Ales, Highwater, Hi-Fi, Snipes Mountain, Yakima Craft, and more who will all be bringing some rare beers to sample.
12 Pack at the Troll | Starts at 11:00PM | Fremont Bridge Troll
Very little description was given for this one but this is the description the website gave: “New Belgium cans at the troll! Come by Bike or on Foot.” In case you’ve never heard of the Fremont Troll, have a go at Google and imagine a bunch of beer lovers climbing all over the troll, drinking New Belgium.
Wednesday May 14th
Colorado Night | 4:00PM – 10:00PM | The Sixgill
The Sixgill is having a Colorado Night dedicated to Colorado breweries including Avery, Boulder, Great Divide, Left Hand, New Belgium, and Oskar Blues.
Can You Handle My Randall? | 5:00PM – 10:00 PM | The Pine Box
Pine Box brings back it’s successful 12 Randalls series in an Oregon vs. Washington edition. Here’s are the 12 Randalls featured:

Brouwer’s is bringing an insane number of sour beers for the beer drinkers of Seattle’s pleasure. An all day sour festival is kind of our dream.
4th Annual Sausagefest | 4:00PM – 9:00PM | The Duck Island Alehouse (or Dude Island)
Get ready for the sausage and beer flight experience of your dreams! 4 sausages, 4 sauces, and four 4oz tasters of beers.
Beer Week Bingo | 7:00PM – 10:00PM | Cooper’s Alehouse
Georgetown Brewing is bringing their new Bob’s Brown Ale as well as 7 other Georgetown Brewing beers to Cooper’s for a fun night of bingo!
Friday May 16th
Hop School with Two Beers | 4:00PM – 7:00PM | Total Wine – Bellevue
Two Beers Brewing is doing a hop education and tasting at the Bellevue Total Wine. They’ll discuss the role and profile of Yakima Valley Hops through several different beers available for tasting.
SoDo vs. Ballard | 4:00PM – 7:00PM | Downtown Spirits
Battle of the Seattle neighborhoods to prove their beer supremacy over the other! Stop by Downtown Spirits this Friday to try samples of the 3 SoDo breweries and the 3 Ballard breweries and vote for who you think should reign supreme.
Follow the Firkin | 5:00PM – 7:00PM | Latona Pub
The last event on Sierra Nevada’s Follow the Firkin journey to showcase cask conditioned beer at Bob Brenlen’s three pubs around Seattle. Get ready to enjoy some smooth jazz and even smoother brews.
Saturday May 17th
Caturday! | All Day | Chuck’s 85th
All right. It’s beer and cats. Correction: Seattle celebrity cats. How can this be any more awesome? Oh yeah, all of the proceeds will be donated to local animal shelters.
Some Like It Hot | All Day | Chuck’s Central District
Chuck’s Central District is hosting what is Seattle’s first ever chili beer festival. They’re going to be tapping pepper beers from all over the Northwest and beyond to bring you that sweet, sweet burn we know you’re addicted to. It doesn’t matter how many times you’re eyes have watered over a particularly spicy habanero IPA, at this festival you can keep ’em coming until your taste buds have gone numb and you’ve sweated through your tshirt.
WA Craft Spirit Fest | 6:00PM – 11:00 PM | Burgundian
A bunch of distilleries and Fremont got together and decided to age a rye saison in barrels of spirits from each of the distilleries. WA Craft Spirit Fest will feature 5-7 beers from Fremont and 10 distilleries. Burgundian will also be offering flights, food pairings, and cocktails.
Sunday May 18th – The Final Day
Beer Lover’s Appreciation Day | All Day | Downtown Spirits
In celebration of another successful Seattle Beer Week, Downtown Spirits will be offering 10% of all beer all day.
Parking Lot Party | 11:00AM – 5:00PM | The Dray
As a farewell to Seattle Beer Week 2014, The Dray is hosting a parking lot party sponsored by Firestone Walker. They’ll have beer, tacos, tortas, and fun! They’ll additionally have their 2nd Annual Stumbletown Beer Olympics.
Annual Brewer’s Hangover Brunch | All Day | Malt and Vine
A fun event to just hang out with your fellow beer lover’s and commiserate in the shared hangover everyone has. It’s potluck style so bring some beer or some food and relax. You earned it.
