“Craft” Documentary Screening at Bangers

Screen Shot 2014-03-26 at 11.34.09 AM“Craft,” a documentary focused on, you guessed it–craft beer, will be screening at Bangers Sausage House & Beer Garden April 8 as part of a national tour to promote the new film.

The film follows filmmaker Craig Noble as he takes viewers on a cross-country craft beer journey, stopping at breweries along the way, and culminating with Noble studying to obtain his Cicerone Certification and brewing a highly crafted beer of his own–a farmhouse ale.

At the Austin screening, attendees will actually have the chance to order Noble’s Farmhouse Ale for themselves, because the recipe was brewed here locally at Hops & Grain.

A press release announcing the event includes this description of the beer: “The FARMHOUSE ALE has a beautiful deep golden hue and a thick rocky white head. Complex citrus fruit and key lime aromas are lifted with a hint of spicy clove. The light pilsner malt body is balanced by subtle spicy hop flavors, supported by a quenching acidity and moderate carbonation. The FARMHOUSE ALE is an unfiltered, bottle-conditioned table Saison honoring the Southern Belgian classics.”

Tickets to the film screening are $15 and can be purchased in advance through Eventbrite. Attendees can purchase the Farmhouse Saison, and a special, secret sausage designed to pair with it by Bangers Chef Ted Prater, at the event. Bangers will begin seating for the film, which starts at 8:30pm, around 8pm. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Noble.
