Bitch Beer Book Release Party at Hops & Grain
We are BEYOND EXCITED to announce that the official release party for Bitch Beer’s upcoming book, “Austin Beer: Capital City History on Tap,” will be held at Hops & Grain Brewing on Friday, Sept. 13.
The event will take place from 6-9 p.m. and will feature complimentary nibbles from our friends at Hi Hat Public House. The fine folks from BookPeople will be on-site to sell copies of the book, all of which will come with beer tickets for four free 5 oz samples of tasty Hops & Grain brews. Additional beers will be available for purchase by the glass in the taproom.
All seven co-authors of the book will be in the house to celebrate, sign books and say a few words. After the party, attendees are invited to make their way down to Hi Hat Public House for an official after party featuring some great local taps.
We here at BitchBeer.org feel extremely honored to have been given the opportunity to write a book about Austin’s amazing, dynamic brewing industry and the strong sense of culture and community that has surrounded it throughout the years. Now, we’re even more honored to have the opportunity to share it with all of you!
This event is FREE and open to the public, but an RSVP would help us get a headcount.
Hope you can make it!

More on the book:
Published through The History Press, and weighing in at nearly 250 pages, the stories featured in “Austin Beer” come as a culmination of more than 60 interviews with members of the Austin beer community–past, present and even future, as well as many hours of extensive archival research investigating Austin’s brewing roots, which stretch back all the way to the mid 1800s. The book also includes a foreword from local craft beer advocate Debbie Cerda, as well as a color photo insert, original infographics, ideas for beer-centric day trips, a read-along drinking game and local beer pairings for each chapter.
Beyond excited. I just clapped a little.
