Craft Pride announced that Via 313, a Detroit-style pizzeria on wheels dreamed up by brothers Zane and Brandon Hunt, will be delighting hungry beer drinkers daily by serving up their highly acclaimed pies from the beer bar’s lovely backyard. Starting Thursday, August 15th, Via 313 will be slinging square-shaped pizzas from 5pm to 1am every day.
With so much deliciousness in one place, we are actually salivating in anticipation. I, for one, am psyched for what will surely become a weekly ritual of picking up a few beers from the Bottle Shop and a pizza for the road. Pizza and beer are a no-brainer combination, and with the accolades overflowing for both Craft Pride and Via 313, this has the markings of a stellar pairing.
The 313 team plans to develop some exclusive menu items for Craft Pride patrons, even hosting an online competition to name the newest addition to the menu, a dressed up version of their hugely popular pie “The Detroiter.” The new pie will boast three different types of pepperoni, and the winner of the competition receives one of their very own to gloat over and enjoy. Witty entries can be submitted on their Facebook page. The top 5 will be released prior to August 22nd, when guests at Craft Pride and Via 313 can vote on the finalists and crown the crusty creation with a new name.
