American Craft Beer Week: Lakewood Tapping @ Chicago House
Known for Temptress, a decadent imperial milk stout that pairs well with rich desserts, robust cheeses and sin, Dallas’ Lakewood Brewing Company will make their Austin debut this Thursday, May 16 at Chicago House. The tap takeover will be part of the bar’s American Craft Beer Week lineup.
Now, don’t get too excited. Lakewood beers will not be readily available in Austin any time super soon, the Chicago House guys just went the extra mile (literally) and drove up to Dallas to retrieve the kegs for this event. So, if you haven’t had a chance to try Lakewood’s brews, this is the perfect opportunity unless you have a trip to Dallas planned for any time soon.
Beers available for the event include: Ancho Chile Lager (cask), Hop Trapp Belgian IPA, Temptress (nitro) imperial milk stout, Rock Ryder rye wheat, Vienna Lager and Till & Toil saison. There will also be a very limited number of Brabo’s Cut Belgian Dark Ale bottles available.
The event begins at 6 p.m. and word is Lakewood’s Craig Bradley will be present to mingle with attendees.
The event is open to the public, but you can RSVP on Facebook via this link if, like us, you just like RSVPing for stuff.
