Firestone Walker Brewing Company to Begin Distribution to Texas in February

Firestone_Walker_logoIt looks like 2013 is shaping up to be a good year for beer. Not only did Odell Brewing Company recently announce their plans for distribution to Texas, but in a press release distributed this week, award winning brewery Firestone Walker Brewing Company announced they will start distributing their sweet, sweet hop juice to Texas in February.

Working with Brown Distributing, Firestone Walker will first hit Austin on Feb. 19, and then head up to the Dallas/Fort Worth area March 18 through Andrews Distributing.

The brewery will be bringing their DBA (English Style Pale Ale), Pale 31 (California Pale Ale), Union Jack (India Pale Ale) and several beers from the brewery’s Proprietor’s Reserve series including Wookey Jack, Double Jack and Walker’s Reserve. There are also rumors of special events in the works to celebrate this momentous occasion, and we’ll keep you in the loop when we hear about any.

With two huge breweries like Odell and Firestone Walker adding Texas to their distribution list, hopefully other out-of-state craft breweries in the country will begin to realize that even though our beer laws suck in this state, our beer drinkers do not. Cross your fingers, guys.
