Celebrate the Season with Dallas Winter Warmer Festival

Brace Yourselves. Winter is coming.

Now, before you break out the snuggie and hang your stockings by the chimney with care (you do that, right?) we know a whole new way you can get in the holiday spirit and keep warm at the same time.

Originally started in Nashville, Dallas Winter Warmer is a new beer festival being held in Dallas December 15, that pays homage to the libations that ward off the winter chills, we’re talking stouts, porters, barley wines, barrel aged beers, winter seasonals and hard ciders.

Participating Texas breweries include: (512) Brewing Company, Community Beer CompanyFirewheel Brewing Co., Four Corners Brewing Co., Franconia Brewing Company, Lakewood Brewing Co., Rahr & Sons Brewing Co., Real Ale Brewing Company, Saint Arnold Brewing Company,  Shiner Beer, Ranger Creek Brewing & Distilling  and Uncle Bucks Brewery and Steakhouse.

Participating national craft breweries include: Abita Beer,  Alaskan Brewing Co., Boulevard Brewing, Bridgeport Brewing, Brooklyn Brewery, Dogfish Head Brewing, Full Sail brewing Co., Green Flash Brewing Co., Harpoon Brewery, Lagunitas Brewing, Magic Hat Brewing Company, North Coast Brewing Co., Brewery Ommegang, Oskar Blues Brewery, Pyramid Breweries, Samuel Adams, Schmaltz Brewing Company,  Stone Brewing Co., Santa Fe Brewing and Mendocino Brewing.

Ace, Crispin and Woodchuck will also be serving cider.

Food will be available for purchase courtesy of chef Wolfgang Puck (Perhaps you’ve head of him).

The festival will take place in Annette Strauss Square at the AT&T Performing Arts Center in Dallas, and according to festival founder Matthew Leff, the event will be limited to 2000 attendees in order to preserve a more intimate feel. We’d recommend buying tickets soon, as the Nashville Winter Warmer sold out in a flash this year.

The event is 21+. Tickets are $45 and include 12 two oz samples. Additional samples will be sold for $2 and will include 10 two oz samples. Designated driver tickets will also be available for $20 and will include sodas and snacks.

A portion of the proceeds from Dallas Winter Warmer will go to benefit the festival’s charitable partner Cancer Support Community of North Texas.
