Oskar Blues Teams up with Alamo Drafthouse for “The Jerk” Beer Dinner
The Alamo Drafthouse, consummate purveyors of all things film, food and fine craft beer, will be teaming up with Oskar Blues founder Dale Katechis to present beer dinner screenings of the 1979 Steve Martin classic “The Jerk” in Austin, San Antonio and Houston next week.
With Dale on hand to share some wisdom, the five course beer dinner curated to accompany the film will feature some lighthearted gourmet offerings, paired with Oskar Blues beer (served straight out of the can, of course.)

Tuna Fish on White Bread
Tuna poke on toasted Hawaiian bread….Paired with Dale’s Pale Ale
Escargot
Escargot in ale-garlic brown butter, grilled sourdough….Paired with Mama’s Little Yellow Pils
Pizza in a Cup
A cup made of parmesan pizza crust filled with Bolognese and topped with fresh mozzarella and asiago cheese and crisp pepperoni….Paired with Old Chub
Bunny and Eggplant
Rabbit braised in fresh wine with carrot gravy on chicken fried eggplant….Paired with G’Night Imperial Red
Twinkees
Fried Twinkee with roast blueberries and chile infused chocolate sauce….Paired with Deviant Dale’s IPA
